Description
Panko is a Japanese-style bread crumb used in popular dishes such as Chicken Katsu (fried chicken cutlet). Yutaka Panko is made using traditional techniques, baking soft white bread, removing the crust, and grinding the bread into large 6-millimeter flakes. These large airy flakes absorb less oil and stay crispier for longer than traditional breadcrumbs, making them ideal for frying. Panko is also widely used as a crispy coating for salads or as a binding agent for hamburger patties and meatballs. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
